Security & Privacy

ClipBox is built local-first. Your clipboard data lives on your device and your private iCloud — never on our servers. Security is not a feature, it's the foundation.

Password Manager Shield
Detects clipboard data from Apple Passwords, 1Password, and Bitwarden using source and pasteboard-type signals — and blocks it before it ever enters ClipBox. Protected items are never stored, previewed, synced, or included in backups.
Biometric App Lock
Lock ClipBox with Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone and iPad, or Touch ID and Apple Watch on Mac. Nobody can browse your clips without your biometrics.
Protected App Sandbox
All local data is stored inside the protected Apple application sandbox container — inaccessible to other apps and services by design.
Automatic History Cleanup
Set a retention period to automatically remove old, unpinned clips after a chosen time. Local notifications warn you before cleanup runs.
